Lady Gwendolyn Denice Haines is a woman of grace, elegance, and unwavering devotion to God. As the beloved Elect Lady of Word Aflame Church in Dallas, TX, and the cherished wife of Presiding Bishop Dr. Malachi Haines, Sr., she walks faithfully in her divine assignment with humility, compassion, and excellence.

Born the 14th of 15 children to the late Bishop Spencer and Mother Odgie Davis, Lady Haines was raised with strong values of family, service, and faith. From an early age, she demonstrated a heart for ministry—becoming a temple keeper, singer, and program coordinator by age 9. Her servant’s heart has only deepened through the years.

Before entering full-time ministry, Lady Haines flourished professionally as a site administrator for a major demolition company in Philadelphia. Her business acumen, paired with her entrepreneurial spirit, led her to Wingate University in Charlotte, NC, where she further honed her leadership and administrative skills. She later launched her own boutique, "My Style," a reflection of her signature elegance and confidence.


A woman of great discernment and relentless compassion, Lady Haines brings both spiritual depth and organizational strength to the ministry. Her powerful intercession and prayer life have earned her deep respect across the Greater Highway Churches of Christ globally, where she is known as a prayer warrior and spiritual pillar.

Lady Haines has been a vital partner in ministry, assisting in the planting of two churches (in North Carolina and Texas), managing multiple businesses, and playing a key administrative role in the launch of Malachi Law Group, PLLC. Throughout all of these endeavors, she has lovingly nurtured her family and maintained a thriving marriage of over 31 years. She and Bishop Haines are the proud parents of two adult children: Malachi Jr. (married to Thuy Tien Doan-Haines) and Brooke Monet Haines.
